Reverse osmosis element membrane plays a very critical role in the overall operation of stainless steel water filter. Therefore, it has received a lot of attention during the installation and disassembly process, and improper installation and disassembly may cause irreparable damage.
1. Preliminary preparation before installation of reverse osmosis element membrane
(1). Flush the system piping. If the system is the latest, the management system piping needs to be fully flushed before installation to prevent debris, organic solvents and permanganate index from contacting the membrane elements.
(2). Cleaning the pressure vessel: Before installing ro membrane element, the inside of the pressure vessel needs to be cleaned to prevent dirt or debris from accumulating on the outer surface. You can use cotton wool to penetrate 50% petroleum jelly water solution, you should use a suitable special tool to clean the inside of the membrane shell back and forth to clean the inner cavity of the membrane shell. During the cleaning operation, please be careful not to scratch the inner surface of the membrane housing with special tools.
2. Installation sequence of reverse osmosis element membrane.
(1). Generally, it is stored in a 1% sodium bisulfite aqueous solution, and rinsed with pure water first.
(2). There is a dense water sealing ring on the water supply and drainage side, pay attention to the device orientation of the sealing ring to extend upward. The function of the concentrated water sealing ring is to ensure that all the source water flows into ro membrane element without generating huge currents. The flow speed of the source water itself will make the opening of the concentrated water seal ring tightly sealed to the inner cavity of the pressure vessel. If the orientation of the sealing ring is opposite, the source water cannot be sealed, causing part of the original flow to both sides, reducing the flow rate of the membrane surface, causing fouling, and reducing the service life.
(3). Make sure that the O-ring device is in the specific direction of the connecting piece. When installing, pay attention to no scratches or appendages on the surface of the O-ring and connecting piece. Be careful not to twist the O-ring. If the connector causes a leak, the source water will enter the product water, resulting in a decrease in the product water body. When the equipment is in the seepage pipe, the appearance of the O-ring and seepage pipe is soaked with pure water, pure water or petroleum jelly, which is easy to install.
(4). Remove reverse osmosis element membrane of the end plate device on both sides of the pressure vessel. Install the power adapter on the concentrated water side of the first membrane. Then push into the pressure vessel along the source water flow direction. When several membranes are continuously installed, before the previous membrane completely enters the membrane shell, it is necessary to prepare the connection of the next membrane with the connector in advance. Be careful not to let the membrane element touch the edge of the pressure vessel to prevent friction, and send the parallel surface into the pressure vessel as much as possible.
(5). After confirming that the power adapter of the pressure vessel is connected, connect the concentrated water side end plate to the membrane shell. For the connection method of the end plate, please refer to the application instructions of the pressure vessel manufacturer.
(6). After the end plate device on the concentrated water side is completed, reverse osmosis element membrane should be pushed again from the concentrated water side on the permeate side to ensure a complete tight connection, and then proceed to the permeable end plate device.
