The direct method is based on the basic principle of the bubble point test. After the membrane is completely wetted, input air compression at one side of the membrane wire that is less than the working pressure of the bubble point. , no obvious cyclone can pass through the wet membrane pores. If the ro uf membrane has some damage or the membrane filaments are broken, a large amount of compressed air can pass from the damaged point to the other side of the membrane. If the other side is filled with liquid, persistent air bubbles can be observed.
The indirect method is that we install a turbidity meter on the water pipe produced by uf system water treatment, and indirectly detect the integrity of hollow fiber ultrafiltration membrane according to the water body that detects its water production.
The sensitivity of the direct method is very high, and it can detect the rupture of a single or a few membrane filaments, but the disadvantage is that the equipment should stop running under the detection situation, and it is not suitable for continuous detection. The indirect method is characterized by continuous detection, but low sensitivity. If the breaking of a small amount of membrane filaments does not lead to water production and genetic mutation of the water body, the turbidimeter cannot correctly identify and alarm.

Therefore, in specific applications, the direct method can be used as the daily inspection and maintenance method, but in places with higher requirements, the direct method and the indirect method should be used for continuous inspection, and the direct method should be selected for inspection and maintenance on time.
